Code of Conduct

The Data-Driven Science Community exists to connect data science professionals together to help each other grow their skills and careers in a meaningful way. It’s an inclusive community that thrives when you share your voice, ideas, suggestions, and input. To ensure the space remains safe and inclusive for everyone, we have some expectations that our team will enforce and uphold.

Things you must do

  • Be kind and discreet to others. Treat others as you would like to be treated.
  • Use welcome and inclusive language.
  • Be respectful of others’ viewpoints, even when they differ from your own.
  • Accept feedback gracefully, even if it is constructive criticism.

Things you can’t do

  • Do not post or link to content that:
    • is spam
    • is advertising
    • is trolling
    • is abusive, hateful, offensive, or exclusionary
    • is off-topic
    • threatens or harasses others
    • discloses private or personal matters concerning any person
    • is sexually explicit
    • violates the copyrights or other intellectual property rights of others
    • contains viruses, corrupted files, or any other contaminating or destructive features that may damage someone else’s computer.
  • Do not make unwelcome sexual or personal advances.
  • Do not quote anyone outside without permission and do not share anything told to you in confidence or private messages.
  • Do not impersonate any person, or falsely state, or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
  • Do not violate any other applicable laws or regulations.

Members asked to stop any inappropriate or unacceptable behavior are expected to comply with the requests of admins immediately.

Behavior that violates this Code of Conduct will be met with appropriate action, which may include:

  • Written warning
  • Removal from the community
